Amal Clooney Just Wore a Grown-Up Version of the Mesh-Shoe Trend

Much has been said about the viral mesh-flats trend. Yes, we even wrote an entire story about it. The Alaïa and the studded Khaite versions have proven to be particularly popular among the fashion set, but they are far from the only options you have when trying out the look. Amal Clooney, for instance, just wore a much fancier version of the trend in the form of mesh heels. 

Photographed arriving in Venice ahead of the Venice Film Festival, Clooney wore Roger Vivier Viv in the City Net Covered Slingback Pumps ($995).
